The Cross Expands to VANDERBILT University

Several years ago, a group of alumni in Nashville begin to pray about the possibility of bringing The Cross Ministry to one of the area universities. After meeting with countless people, praying over several campuses, and learning more about the needs of fraternity and sorority students, the local board of directors made the decision to take the leap of faith and plans to expand our ministry to Vandy. God continues to open doors and lead us in the important process of offering more Greek students a campus ministry geared toward them. It’s been exciting to see how this movement has unfolded.

Update on Campus director search

We are excited to announce we have hired Cross Alumni, Laura Dorris, to be the first ever Campus Director at Vanderbilt University in Nashville! Laura first felt her calling to full time ministry during a spring break trip with The Cross. She has been a ministry leader internationally for the last 9 years, while founding a nonprofit focused on equipping women during that same time period. Laura will use that crucial experience as she champions this new ministry at Vanderbilt. We are thrilled Laura joins our team and will be back in our community in an official leadership capacity. Laura will be full time starting at the beginning of 2023 with the hopes to have active ministry forming a student leadership team by the fall of next year.
